NN North Sea Jazz Poster

A visual poster concept developed for the annual competition at NN North Sea Jazz Festival, as part of an elective at Willem de Kooning Academy.

Inspired by the aesthetic language of iconic mid-century jazz album covers — the bold typographic rhythms and minimal yet evocative compositions of albums like The Eminent Jay Jay Johnson and Indestructible by Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers.

The poster acts as a bridge between jazz's rich visual heritage and the evolving identity of today's music festivals.
